Smoke in Upper Nabatieh Confirmed to Be from Fire, Not Israeli Drone Strike

Field observations have confirmed that smoke rising from the Upper Nabatieh area on July 18 originated from a fire, contradicting earlier reports of an Israeli drone strike in the region.

On-the-ground data collection ruled out any involvement by an Israeli unmanned aerial vehicle, establishing instead that a fire was responsible for the visible smoke plumes that had prompted initial speculation about military activity.
